A blustery wind upon this Christmas Eve...

Dark. Quiet. Still. Silent.
Eyes shut. But still, I listen.
My heart pulses-
unconditional power of each beat.
Beyond the pulse lies a whisper so deep.
His whisper tells me everything,
I feel him all around me.
Behind shut eyes,
my fingers trace his being.
I want to know him.
I want more of him.

It was quiet here. Soft music playing. We all stood side by side, in the presence of God.
There are moments where I just want to freeze time. Linger in whatever's going on just for a little longer. Not having to come face to face with change. Friends by my side. God's presence. Dim room. Perfect moment. Freeze time. Maybe I could bask in it a little longer. Maybe time wouldn't move so quickly.
Then I get a little "Hello? What are you thinking?!"

This is war,
so pick your side.
It's time to move,
not time to hide.
Don't let lies make up your mind-
cant you see we're running out of time?

We've only got 86-400 seconds in a day
to turn it all around or to throw it all away
we gotta tell em that we love em while we got the chance to say-
gotta live like we're dying.

We're an army dressed for battle- take the lamb, take the lamb...

Then I get a slap in the face REMINDING me, "Hey, you've got a job, are you sure you want to freeze time or do you want to tell everyone about Jesus and leave this shell? You're trapped in a body, remember?"

I'm still learning... I always will be...

  1. this is good!!!
altho its "take the land, take the land" but otherwise, i really like this. and i agree totally. thats kinda how i get with it. its like "oh i want this to last forever" and then God is like, well if you will go tell the world about Me, then it will be forever, once you get here. lol.
